[Printers] More thoughts on Toshiba/Kyocera/HP code

OK, RE my last post, it seems this was already discovered by Patrick
Murphy (2005-September/000013.html). Although it looks to me more like
an error correction technique than a way to spread the dots out.

So if the columns simply alternate, it might be clearer to remove the
redundancy and draw each pair of columns together as a single column.
Then we can try a few different methods for interpreting the dots and
see if any match the printer's serial number, etc.

How are you suggesting we connect things together? E.g.
A0,A1,A2,A3,B0,B1,B2,B3 etc. or A0,B0,A1,B1, etc?

There seems to be a lot of good stuff in the archives I'm missing.
Perhaps I/someone should put some of this stuff up on a central website
to avoid
re-inventing/re-posting things.
