[Printers] Intro, and some early data

Hello,

My name is Patrick, and I live in Phoenix.  I'm looking forward to meeting
other people who are interested in analyzing the data embedded in color
printouts.

I have looked at the data provided by the EFF on their web page titled
"Investigating Machine Identification Code Technology in Color Laser Printers"
(URL: http://www.eff.org/Privacy/printers/wp.php).

I was able to extract some information from the EFF raw data -- date and time
of printing.  However, since the EFF does not know the serial numbers of the
printers, I'm not yet able to extract the machine serial number.

FYI, here is the information I have been able to extract:

  Printed on June 21, 2005 between 12:50 PM to 1:12 PM

4. DocuColor 40 (Let Us! Copy, 565 Commercial Street, San Francisco, CA)
  Printed on June 20, 2005 between 8:15 AM to 8:59 AM

5. DocuColor 2045 (FedEx Kinko's, 369 Pine Street, San Francisco, CA)
  Printed on June 24, 2005 @ 6:44 PM

6. DocuColor 6060 (FedEx Kinko's, 201 Sacramento Street, San Francisco, CA)
  Printed on June 20, 2005 between 8:36 to 8:47 AM

7. DocuColor 6060 (FedEx Kinko's, 1800 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA)
  Printed between June 25 @ 11:55 PM and June 26 @ 12:01 AM

I hope to receive some new data from the EFF that includes the serial number of
the machine that printed the sample.  With this data I should be able to figure
out how to extract the serial number from the raw data.
