There's a chance that you can get date and time in a configuration page.
Some configuration pages have date and time in them.

A configuration page is also called (or, in a fancy printer, possibly
contrasted with) a test page, status page, or calibration page.

I also found some documentation for the Doc 12 on Xerox's site, which
suggests that the time can be entered through the menus if you have
enough privilege -- and says that it's used "on the cover page and on
job logs". (No mention of forensic marks...) So if you can somehow
arrange to get a cover page or a job log, the printer should include the
date and time.

Consistent with Patrick's claims, the configuration interface mentioned
in the Xerox documentation has only hours and minutes, not seconds. So
the printer does know about as much date and time information as Patrick
says it's printing.

You can look up documentation at

http://www.support.xerox.com/go/prodselect.asp?Xcntry=USA

and see if you find anything useful.

The other thing is that, if you had a Doc 12 on a LAN, you could look at
traces of its network communications. For example, the Doc 12 supports
HTTP; it might reveal what date and time it thinks it is in HTTP
protocol headers.
