[Printers] Yellow Dots on HP Color LaserJet 3700

Has anyone decoded the yellow dots of HP printers? The dots on the example 
shown on http://seeingyellow.com/ seem to come from such a printer; at 
least they are quite similar to the output of my HP 3700.

By the way: I made a small gimp script available on 
http://registry.gimp.org/node/623 which makes the yellow dots a bit more 
evident than it is done by just taking the blue channel.
